The Aspen Outfitters make iPhone and iPad accessories. Hewn out of a solid block of timber, their iPhone 4 & 4S cases are the pinnacle of suave, and embody our philosophy on material use. Thus it was quite natural for us to accept their invitation to collaborate on a range of Veblen's Vice custom engraved cases. We present to you, dear reader, a range of our favourite designs - each embedded with multiple layers of meaning and woven with a rich tapestry of references to our philosophies. We begin the process by liberating The Aspen Outfitters of their expertly crafted wares. We then take to our laser cutter to engrave a pattern into the wood grain, and finish them by hand with oil. We include a vial of oil for your own personal use. We then wrap the cases in our handcrafted letterpress packaging - each one is dated & signed by the artisan who completed it. This wrapped package is then deposited into a custom made gift box, made by hand (and laser) by us in our workshop - in the same Black Walnut wood, with the design motif repeated. The case rests on a bed of wood shavings for protection - and for your olfactory pleasure, these wood shavings are lightly fragranced with our signature Eau de Parfum, "Galt".
